DUMAS — Mr. Floyd Edgerson, 68, of Dumas died Saturday, February 9, 2013, at his home.
Born January 2, 1945, in Dumas, he was a son of the late James Edgerson, Sr., and Jemmie Brandon Edgerson. He was a member of New Jerusalem M.B.C. in Dumas where he served as an usher. He was an employee of Earnest Hopmann Farms of Dumas.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Tanner Edgerson of Dumas; a son, Rev. Darren Edgerson of Pine Bluff; one step-son, Sean Fells of Arlington, Texas; three brothers, A.C. Edgerson, David Edgerson, both of Dumas, Sammy Edgerson of Peoria, Ill.; one sister, Codella Shields of Dumas; seven grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2013, at New Jerusalem Baptist Church East of Dumas, with Rev. Darren Edgerson officiating. Burial will be in Free Gift Cemetery in Dumas by Brown Funeral Home of Dumas. Visitation will be Friday 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
