Edward Ray Slack, 92 of Pine Bluff died Friday, May 3rd, at Davis Life Care in Pine Bluff.
He was born March 29, 1921 in Leton, La., to Lee M. and Ethel Benefield Slack.
He received his early education in Louisiana, graduating from Spring Hill High School.
Mr. Slack served in the U S Army during WWII, and was a Baptist. He worked for International Paper Company, and retired as assistant superintendent in the Pulp Mill.
He is survived by his wife, Lena Smith Slack, three children, Patsy Carson, Michael Martin, James Slack, eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a sister-in-law, Twila Slack.
Graveside services with Masonic Rites will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at White Hall Cemetery, near Haynesville, La., by Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors.
