WHITE HALL — Earnest John Duck, 69, of White Hall, died Friday, November 2, 2012.
Born July 24, 1943 at Bassett, he was the son of the late Curry Duck and Lener Nash Duck.
For nearly four decades, Mr. Duck, serviced and repaired tractors, combines and other heavy farm equipment for Massey-Ferguson, Ford, and John Deere.
He then, with Mrs. Zoal by his side, traveled the county as owner/operator of D&D Enterprises before retiring in 2009.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Holly Duck Bailey.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mrs. Zoal Defoor Duck, whom he married May 23, 1964; son, Dewayne Duck and wife Billi Ann; sisters, Mae, Sue, Shirley and Jenny Lou; mother-in-law, Beatrice Defoor; former son-n-law, Bobby Miller; six grandchildren, Cody, Corey, Austin, Sky, Summer, and Nathan; and many other loving family and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, 2 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel with Brother Bryan Torres officiating.
Burial will follow in Flat Bayou Cemetery at Altheimer.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
