Doris Tolbert

Doris “Punkin” Tolbert was born July 24, 1937 in Pine Bluff, Ark. She was the Daughter of Mrs. Theo Conner–Andrews. On Sunday November 11, 2012 Doris transitioned into Eternity.

Doris confessed a hope in Christ at an early age with the Mt. Beulah Baptist Church.

Doris retired as a Dental Assistant for the late Dr. W. L. Molette. After retiring, she became her Mother’s caregiver arranging her many doctors appointments. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling and caring for her family and whoever else that was in need. Her home was always open to anyone who needed shelter. She loved to cook and enjoyed watching everyone eat. Her most famous dish was fried chicken.

She leaves to cherish her memory four sons; George Tolbert Jr. (Pine Bluff), Larry Tolbert (Mableton, Ga.), Anthony (Roni) Tolbert, Marious Tolbert (both of Pine Bluff), five daughters; Resha Rogers, Dolline Wright (both of Flint, Mich.), Dorothy (Oko) Tolbert, Paula (Jerry) Rochelle, Theodora (Aundra) Johnson, (all of Pine Bluff). Her mother, Theo Andrews (Pine Bluff). Her sister, Mae (McLoyd) Buchanan (Harvey, Ill.). Eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Breath Of Life Church with the Kerry Price officiating. Burial will be in P.K. Miller Cemetery by the P.K. Miller Mortuary. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Breath of Life Church. Mrs. Tolbert will lie in repose at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service. Online
