WHITE HALL — Mrs. Daisy Payne, 73, a resident of White Hall, died Friday, April 5, 2013, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Born August 7, 1939, in Pine Bluff, she was a daughter of James and Vivian Law Faver.
Mrs. Payne was reared and received her early education in Pine Bluff. She attended Pine Bluff High School. Daisy Laverne Faver married David Payne, Sr. on September 20, 1958, in Pine Bluff. Mrs. Payne was a long-time homemaker then went to work for Walmart as a Department Manager. She worked twenty years, retiring in 2007. Mrs. Payne was a Baptist.
Mrs. Payne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; one brother, Jimmy “Cowboy” Favers.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie Patton (Darmin) of Prague, and Joan Simmons (Bill) of Benton; one son, David Payne, Jr. (Renee`). of White Hall; two sisters, Vivian Smith of White Hall, and Virginia Erhlich of Lawton, Oklahoma, four grandchildren.
The visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2013, at Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors.
The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013, in the chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Reverend James Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery by Ralph Robinson & Son.
