OAKLAND, Tenn. — Claude L. Lundy, age 68, of Oakland, Tenn., formerly of Pine Bluff, Ark., passed into eternity July 20, 2013. He was a retired employee of Roadway Express. Services for Mr. Lundy will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland with visitation from 11 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Thursday. Mr. Lundy was born in Mobile, Ala. on March 16, 1945. He leaves his wife of 49 years, Sandy Drewry Lundy; daughter, Leslie Lundy Erwin (Jay) of Eads, Tenn.; sister, Margaret Lundy Lynn (Larry) of Hot Springs, Ark.; and brothers, Odis Lundy (Sharon) of Luray, Va., Bob Lundy (Cindy) of Clarksville, Ark. and Mack Lundy (Sandy) of Little Rock, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eva Smith Lundy and Hardy Lundy; and his sister, Ann Lundy Coats. Mr. Lundy moved to Pine Bluff, Ark., in the late 1950’s and graduated from Pine Bluff High School. He had been a resident of the Memphis area since 1966. He was an active member of Fayette Baptist Church near Oakland. In lieu of flowers, lasting memorials are requested to Fayette Baptist Church, 6896 Highway 70, Bartlett, Tenn. 38133.
