ALTHEIMER — Mother Beluah Ashford-Richardson departed this world on Saturday, March 23, 2013. Mother Richardson crossed over to her heavenly home. It was but a step into another room of our Father’s house. The noise of the world makes it hard for us to hear the still small voice beyond the door; the world’s bright lights blind our eyes to the soft glow of eternity; the constant concern with material things deadens our sensitivity to the spirit values of the unseen land until we are tempted even to deny their reality. Mother Beluah Ashford-Richardson was born November 17, 1907, in Lonoke County, Arkansas to the late Bro. Gilliam and Sis. Rilla Jeeter-Ashford. She was educated in Lonoke County, AR. Mother Richardson accepted Christ at an early age. She united with Mt. Bayou Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor R.H. Atkinson. She was a faithful and dutiful member and a mother of the church until her health failed.
She enjoyed spending time with her family. She has left an irreplaceable void. She was a faithful Christian, dedicated mother and a hard-worker. She was united in holy matrimony to Bro. Willie Gipson and to this union three children were born. Mother Richardson was preceded in death by all of her children. She married Bro. Andrew Richardson and remained with him until his death.
Sister Richardson was preceded in death by her children, parents: Bro. Gilliam and Sis. Rilla Jeeter-Ashford.; her grandparents and all of her siblings. Her kind words and thoughts will be forever missed and cherished by her loving six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; one niece that she raised as her daughter-Sis. Tena Murray and her son Bro. Terrance Barnett; a dedicated grandson Bro. Andrew Gipson of Kansas City, Mo.; a special daughter in-law, Sis. Eartha Alexander-Gipson; nieces: Sis. Annie Bell-Liggins and Elma Johnson; community friend, Sis. Barbara Thompson and her caretaker, Sis. Bobby Jean Estis. She will also be remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who will cherish her memory.
