Betty McCarty Goldman, age 81, of Pine Bluff, died at her home, Sunday, April 28, 2013, suddenly and unexpectedly. Mrs. Goldman was born November 29, 1931, in England, Ark., the daughter of the late Henry and Lucille Montgomery McCarty.
She was reared and received her education in Pine Bluff, graduating from Watson Chapel High School.
She was a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witness of Pine Bluff and had worked for a time at the Pine Crest Textile Mill.
She enjoyed gardening and working in her flower beds.
She is survived by her husband, James Sterlin Goldman of the home; two brothers, Harold McCarty of Pine Bluff and Ricky McCarty of Sulphur Springs; favorite Aunt, Inez Merrill of Pine Bluff and her best friend, Linda Erwin of Pine Bluff.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors with Mr. Tommy Beck officiating. Burial will follow in Fitzhugh Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Robinson’s from 9:00 a.m. to service time.
