FORT SMITH — Funeral services for Belinda A. Brooks “BoBo” Mallett, 44, of Fort Smith, Ark., formerly of Pine Bluff, passed November 18 at Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark., will be 11 a.m., Saturday at Marzell MBC, Tamo, Ark. Rev. Lamar Brooks, pastor, Rev. Johnny L. Morton officiating.
She was born November 4, 1968 in Pine Bluff, daughter of the late Eddie B. Borkins, father, Donnell Brooks of Grady, Ark.
She was an active choir member, a deaconess, VP of Missionary Society and worked with the food ministry at Greater Pilgrim Rest MBC in Van Buren, Ark.
She graduated in 1987 from Topeka High School, Topeka, Kan., and she was a graduate of University of Phoenix with an Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice in June 2011.
Survivors, her husband of 22 years, Keith B. Mallett, Fort Smith, Ark.; Father, Donnell Brooks, Grady, Ark.; children, On’Terio L. Brooks, Pine Bluff, Shirmeka Mallett, Pine Bluff, Tysheia Mallett, Star City, Tyrelle Palmer, Star City; two special cousins whom she helped raise, Anetris Lee and LaTeshia Lee, both of Pine Bluff; four grandchildren, Akeem Gore, Pine Bluff, Sha’Niya Mallett, Star City, Shaun Quez Billingsley, Khalil Pickens, both of Pine Bluff; three sisters, Clariece Robertson, Donte Brooks both of Milwaukee, Wis., Monica Gray, Pine Bluff; three brothers, Timothy Brooks, Dallas, Texas, Donnell Brooks, Jr., Milwaukee, Wis.
Visitations may be made from 7:15-8:15 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Old New Macedonia Cemetery, Tarry, Ark. Perry Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
