Austie Johnson


Austie M. Johnson age 77 of Pine Bluff, Ark., formerly of Warren, Ark., died Tuesday, April 9th at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. She was born July 18th, 1935 in Bodcaw, Ark., a daughter of the late Collie A. May and Melva Stewart May. She was a retired L.P.N. with 25 plus years, serving at the Bradley County Medical Center in Warren and the Doctor’s Hospital in Little Rock. She was a member of the Olive Street Baptist Church, where she served the Lord she loved so much and was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. Also preceding her in death was a brother Thurrell May and a sister Imogene Peterman.

She is survived by two sons, Stan Johnson(Debralee), Gilmer, Texas; Mike Johnson(Crystal), Phoenix, Ariz., two daughters Theresa Johnson Perrigan(Kevin) Monticello, Ark.; Deana Johnson Helms(Chris), Pine Bluff, Ark.; s brother Darwin May(Avie), Camden, Ark., and a sister Virginia Kirk, Grass valley, Calif., eight grandchildren with six step-grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and extended family and friends. A beloved companion Morris Bozeman, Altus , Ark.

Graveside services 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 14th at Enon Cemetery at Rye, Ark., by Frazer’s Funeral Home. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Saturday, April 13th at Frazer’s Funeral Home.
