Andrew Creggett


Minister Andrew Lee Creggett was born and raised in Pine Bluff, June 13, 1956. He received his education at Townsend Park Public Schools and was a member of the Boy’s Club where his hobbies included swimming and fishing and a variety of sports. Andrew loved helping people which therefore prompted him to become a life guard by the age of 16 at Townsend Park Recreation and pool. By age 18 he decided to join the Armed Forces to serve his country. He accepted his calling for the ministry early in life and went on to do great things in the church. Teaching the word of God was not only a hearer of the word but a doer of the word of God. He met and married his long time companion and soul mate of 34 years Debra Mitchell Creggett and built their life and family in Ladd, Ark. He was a very devoted husband and father. He dedicated most of time and life to God and was a faithful even until the very end of his life. He was preceded in death by a son, Andrew L. Mitchell IV; father, Andrew Creggett Jr.; mother, Bertha Lee Creggett; two brothers, James E. Creggett, Curl Lee Jacobs; Grandfather, Andrew Creggett of rob, Roy, Ark.; grandmother, Inez Frazier Creggett of Rob Roy, Ark. Survivors include wife, Debra Creggett of Ladd, Ark.; son, Andre Tamaracus Mitchell; daughter, Omeski Mitchell Jones (Tramone) of Sherwood, Ark.; four sisters, Christine Creggett Lampkin of Huntsville, Ala., Bobbie A. Gray of Pine Bluff, Ark., Evelyn Creggett of Wichita, Kan., Roslyn Creggett Carpenter (Danny) of Grady, Ark.; brother, Robert Creggett of Stillwater, Okla.; four grandchildren; special aunt, Lucy Lucas of White Hall, Ark.; nieces, Danna M. Freeman, Shanikqua R. Woodard, Jasmine L. Woodard, Corvetta D. Carpenter all of Wichita, Kan., Alexis D. Carpenter of West Palm Beach, Fla., nephew Abraham W. Woodard V of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Omeski Mitchell Jones (Tramone). Visitation may be made Friday 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Saturday 3:00 p.m. Wheeler Chapel Church Ladd, Ark., Minister Timothy Pratt officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Ladd (Hooker) Ark.
