Pine Bluff man hits lottery second time — for $1 million

LITTLE ROCK — A Pine Bluff man bought two winning lottery tickets about two weeks apart for prizes totaling $1.25 million, lottery officials said Tuesday.

Billy Bealer claimed a $1 million prize from a $20 scratch-off ticket on Tuesday, just over two weeks after claiming a $250,000 prize from a Natural State Jackpot ticket on July 29. He bought the scratch-off ticket at Shell Food Mart and the Natural State Jackpot ticket at the 28th Street Citgo, both in Pine Bluff.

Lottery officials said Bealer told them he paid his bills with the $250,000 prize and planned to invest and save the $1 million prize.

Bealer’s scratch-off ticket was a $1 Million Riches Game ticket. Two $1 million prizes remain in the game.

The Natural State Jackpot game is an Arkansas-only draw game. Tickets are $1 and drawings are held Monday through Saturday at 8 p.m.

State lottery proceeds, after prizes and expenses, fund college scholarships for Arkansas students.
