LITTLE ROCK — Jeff Hankins is resigning as president and publisher of Arkansas Business Publishing Group, the company announced Monday.
Hankins joined the company as editor of its weekly business journal, Arkansas Business, in 1993. Arkansas Business reported on its website Monday that Hankins has submitted his resignation but will help the company transition to new leadership.
“My 19 years with Arkansas Business have been an amazing experience, but I decided it was time for a change in my life and career,” Hankins told Arkansas Business. “This is a tough business. I’m going to miss
working with this very talented group of professionals who produce some of the best publications and websites in the country.”
Hankins is a Pine Bluff native. He became publisher of Arkansas Business in 1999 and president of Arkansas Business Publishing Group in 1999.
Hankins said he plans to remain in Little Rock and pursue opportunities outside publishing.
“We respect Jeff’s decision to leave the company and begin a new chapter in his career,” Olivia Farrell, chairman and CEO of Arkansas Business Publishing Group, told Arkansas Business. “Jeff’s contributions to Arkansas Business Publishing Group have been groundbreaking and important, and we’re grateful for the leadership he has provided.”
In addition to Arkansas Business, publications and websites produced by Arkansas Business Publishing Group include Little Rock Family, Little Rock Soiree, Arkansas Bride, Guest Guide to Greater Little Rock, ArkansasSports360.com and InArkansas.com, among others.
