Beebe appoints 35 to state boards, commissions


LITTLE ROCK — Gov. Mike Beebe on Wednesday appointed 35 people to state boards and commissions.

They include:

—David Bush, Pine Bluff, reappointed to the Arkansas Student Loan Authority. His appointment expires July 8, 2017.

—Carole Bulloch, Monticello, reappointed to the Mississippi River Parkway Commission. Her appointment expires June 8, 2018.

—Phil McBee, Pine Bluff, replaces Hodijah Gray on the Governor’s Advisory Council on Aging. His appointment expires Jan. 14, 2015.

—Glenn Brackman, Bradley, reappointed to the Boll Weevil Eradication Committee. His appointment expires July 1, 2017.

—Dixie Bryson, Maumelle, replaces Elizabeth Green on the Arkansas Psychology Board. Her appointment expires Dec. 31, 2017.

—Gary Campbell, Fort Smith, reappointed to the Arkansas Science and Technology Authority. His appointment expires Jan. 14, 2017.

—Ronald Cantrell, Batesville, replaces Ed Haas on the Governor’s Advisory Council on Aging. His appointment expires Jan. 14, 2015.

—Debbie Carter of Fort Smith replaces Mary Ann Shope on the Arkansas Apprenticeship Coordination Steering Committee. Her appointment expires Dec. 1, 2016.

—Carol Dyer, Little Rock, reappointed to the Arkansas Tobacco Control Board. Appointment expires July 1, 2018.

—Dr. Ginger Fenter, Fort Smith, reappointed to the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy. Her appointment expires July 1, 2016.

—April Jones, Mabelvale, replaces Raymond Heaggans on the State Board of Sanitarians. Her appointment expires June 30, 2018.

—Carlton Jones, Texarkana, reappointed to the State Crime Laboratory Board. Appointment expires Jan. 14, 2020.

—Basil Julian, Conway, replaces Gerald Carr on the Board of the Division of State Services for the Blind. The appointment expires June 30, 2017.

—Jeff Mitchell, Fayetteville, replaces Ron Fuller on the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. His appointment expires Jan. 14, 2015.

—The Rev. Thurston B. Lamb, Little Rock, reappointed to the Keep Arkansas Beautiful Commission. His appointment expires Jan. 14, 2019.

—Michael Perkins, Little Rock, replaces Ronald Rooney on the Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Advisory Committee. Appointment expires Sept. 30, 2015.

—Jack Robertson, Ph.D., replaces Dewery Watkins on the Health Services Permit Commission. His appointment expires April 9, 2014.

—Kevin Robertson, Little Rock, replaces Ronald Norris on the State Board of Pharmacy. His appointment expires June 30, 2019.

—John Scott, Fayetteville, reappointed to the Northwest Technical Institute Board of Directors. His appointment expires June 30, 2018.

—Thad Scott, Ph.D., Fayetteville to the Arkansas-Oklahoma Joint Study Committee. This is a new appointment and it expires Feb. 20, 2016.

—Sam Stathakis, Jr., Hot Springs, replaces Danny Tate on the Arkansas Tobacco Control Board. His appointment expires July 1, 2018.

—Marvin Steele, Sr., West Memphis, replaces David Craig, on the Arkansas Student Loan Authority. The appointment expires July 8, 2017.

—Alicia Story, Jonesboro, replaces Tammy Gavin on the Breast Cancer Control Advisory Board. Her appointment expires Jan. 1, 2017.

—Andy Sustich, Ph.D., Jonesboro, replaces Collis Green on the Arkansas Science and Technology Authority. His appointment expires Jan. 14, 2017.

—Phil Taylor, Jonesboro, reappointed to the State Board of Education. His appointment expires June 30, 2020.

—Christopher Tebbetts, Mountain View, reappointed to the Governor’s Developmental Disabilities Council. His appointment expires June 30, 2018.

Appointed to the Arkansas Legislative Task Force on Abused and Neglected Children:

—Kathy Brownlee, Arkadelphia.

—Harry “H.G.” Foster, Conway.

—Jamie Scott, North Little Rock.

—Dr. Angie Waliski, Sherwood.

These reappointments expire June 30, 2015.

To the Arkansas Rice Promotion Board:

—Marvin Hare, Jr., Newport.

—Richard Hillman, Carlisle.

—Bobby Hoard, Marianna. Replaces John Alter.

—Mike Sullivan, Burdette.
