Beebe announces appointments


LITTLE ROCK — Gov. Mike Beebe announced 35 appointments to state boards and commissions Thursday, including a Pine Bluff resident and three others from Southeast Arkansas.

Lloyd Franklin of Pine Bluff was reappointed to the Arkansas State Board of Public Accountancy. His appointment expires Aug. 17, 2017.

Shash Goyal of Stuttgart was appointed to the State Parks, Recreation and Travel Commission. The appointment expires Jan. 14, 2018. He replaces Billy Lindsey (now commissioner emeritus).

Kyle Ludwig of Stuttgart was reappointed to the Criminal Detention Facility Review Committee, Judicial District No. 11 East. His appointment expires Jan. 14, 2017.

Rev. Charles Killion of McGehee was reappointed to the Commission on Closing the Academic Achievement Gap in Arkansas. The appointment expires March 15, 2017.

Other appointments were:

—Larry Dean Autry, Horatio, to the Sevier County Quorum Court, District 6. The appointment expires Dec. 31, 2014. Replaces Coy Arnold.

—Gene Bramblett, Camden, to the Arkansas Public Defender Commission. The appointment expires July 1, 2017. Replaces LeRoy “Wren” Autrey.

—Rachel Bush, Rogers, to the Arkansas Service Commission. The appointment expires Jan. 14, 2015. Replaces Holly Reding.

—Carol Cobb, Horatio, to the Sevier County Quorum Court, District 5. The appointment expires Dec. 31, 2014. Replaces Gene Cobb.

—Kimberly Curseen, M.D., Little Rock, reappointed to the Health Services Permit Commission. The appointment expires April 9, 2017.

—Carla Davis, Little Rock, reappointed to the Capitol Zoning District Commission. The appointment expires May 1, 2016.

—Danny Ford, Rector, reappointed to the State Parks, Recreation and Travel Commission. The appointment expires Jan. 14, 2019.

—Lesia Ford, West Memphis, to the Arkansas Real Estate Commission. The appointment expires Dec. 31, 2014. Replaces Tina Daniel.

—Ashley Graves, Malvern, to the Information Network of Arkansas. The appointment expires Dec. 31, 2015. Replaces Nancy Arn.

—Darin Gray, Springdale, reappointed to the State Parks, Recreation and Travel Commission. The appointment expires Jan. 14, 2019.

—Michael L. Hocutt, Little Rock, reappointed to the Contractors Licensing Board. The appointment expires Dec. 31, 2016.

—Kevin Hodges, Jonesboro, reappointed to the Health Services Permit Commission. The appointment expires April 9, 2017.

—Albert Hurst, North Little Rock, reappointed to the Capitol Zoning District Commission. The appointment expires May 1, 2016.

—Beth Jackson, Jonesboro, to the Early Intervention Interagency Coordination Council. Appointee serves at the will of the governor. Replaces Angie Lassiter.

—Samantha Johnson, Marion, to the Arkansas Appraisers Licensing and Certification Board. The appointment expires Jan. 15, 2016. Replaces Shirley Pearce.

—Andrew Kumpuris, M.D., Little Rock, reappointed to the State and Public School Life and Health Insurance Board. The appointment expires April 8, 2017.

—Marc McCune, Cedarville, to the Arkansas Sentencing Commission. The appointment expires May 15, 2015. Replaces Robin Carroll.

—Barbara Moody, Salem, to the Arkansas Humanities Council. The appointment expires Dec. 31, 2015. Replaces Cindy Hale.

—Rev. Paul Moore, Fayetteville, to the Arkansas Board of Examiners in Counseling. The appointment expires Dec. 1, 2015. Replaces Justin Moore.

—Dr. Jennifer Rice-Mason, Jonesboro, to the Arkansas Independent Living Council. The appointment expires Feb. 1, 2016. Replaces Rita Byers.

—Deborah Roy, Mountain Home, to the Arkansas HIV/AIDS Minority Taskforce. The appointment expires Feb. 1, 2014. Replaces Youmna El-Sabaa.

—Benjamin “Ted” Scallion, Little Rock, to the Arkansas State Occupational Therapy Committee. The appointment expires March 1, 2016. Replaces Carolyn Loghry.

—Tom Spillyards, Rogers, reappointed to the Arkansas Development Finance Authority. The appointment expires Jan. 14, 2017.
