2 alleged intruders stabbed in Sheridan


Two men were allegedly stabbed by the resident of an apartment in Sheridan on Monday evening after the two broke into the residence at 1000 N. Red Street, police reported.

Sheridan Chief of Police Bob Adams reported that witnesses said they saw the two suspects break into the apartment; one armed with a hammer and the other armed with a knife.

The two allegedly fought with a male resident who also had a knife and allegedly stabbed each of the suspects at least once, according to Adams.

Adams said both suspects were transported by air ambulance, with one suspect going to Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock and the second suspect going to the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.

Conditions of the two were unknown as of 9:30 p.m. Monday.

Adams said the resident of the apartment was still being questioned and that he had not been arrested pending further investigation of the incident.

The other residents of the apartment were also being questioned according to Adams.

No names were immediately available.
