Woman arrested after allegedly stabbing boyfriend

A Pine Bluff woman was arrested early Sunday morning after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend during an argument.

Latecia Grant, 31, told police that the man, Kenneth Moore had pulled a gun on her and threatened to kill her, but Moore denied the claims, Detective Jeremy Oswalt said in a probable-cause affidavit that was presented in court Tuesday.

Deputy Prosecutor Maxie Kizer said police sere sent to the 1100 block of East 17th Avenue just before midnight, and located Moore at a different address.

He said Moore was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center by ambulance, and was rushed to surgery for a laceration to his stomach. Moore’s condition was unavailable Tuesday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $50,000 bond for Grant after ruling that prosecutors had probable cause to charge her with second-degree domestic battery.

Grant was ordered to have no contact with Moore until the case is settled, and was told to come back to court June 11.

The Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent her.
