Woman accused of throwing bowl at victim

A Pine Bluff woman was arrested Monday after she allegedly threw a bowl at another woman, resulting in injuries to the victim’s face.

Claracatrina Lee, 39, was allegedly involved in an argument over money when she threw the glass bowl, Detective Jeremy Oswalt said in a probable cause affidavit.

Oswalt reported that police were sent to the area of 24th Avenue and Spruce Street at 8:11 p.m., in reference to a reported domestic disturbance, and made contact with the victim, who had a large laceration to the right side of her face.

The victim was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where doctors told police that the victim would require stitches to her face.

Lee was located a short time later and reportedly denied throwing the glass bowl, Oswalt reported.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $10,000 bond for Lee after ruling that prosecutors had probable cause to charge her with second-degree domestic battery.

Bridgforth also ordered Lee to have no contact with the alleged victim until the case is settled, and told her to come back to court March 12.

The Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent Lee.
