A Warren man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Wednesday in Cleveland County.

According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, Luther Fred Dorsey, 67, was southbound on U.S. 63 when the 1998 Chevrolet he was driving veered left across the northbound lane of traffic, went into a ditch and hit a tree, then slid sideways into a creek.

Dorsey was pronounced dead at the scene by Cleveland County Chief Deputy Coroner Darren Kea.

The accident occurred 1.5 miles north of Highway 35 at the Rye Cutoff at 11:40 a.m., and Dorsey was reportedly wearing a seat belt.
