The Pine Bluff Police Department reports that a man was taken into custody after turning himself in earlier Wednesday evening in connection with the ongoing investigation into a shooting incident.

A reported shooting near Sixth Avenue and Apple Street at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday sent one person to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.

PBPD Public Information Officer Lt. JoAnn Bates said that two men responding to a Craigslist advertisement offering wheel rims for sale apparently intended to forcibly take the items from the would-be seller.

Bates said that in the ensuing altercation one man was shot in the head, but the injury appears to be non-life threatening. The victim was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center. His identity was not immediately available.

The PBPD had been searching for a vehicle involved in the shooting.
