Second domestic battery arrest could lead to felony allegation

A Pine Bluff man who previously was convicted of misdemeanor domestic battery in district court could be charged with a felony after a second arrest for the same offense Thursday.

Tony McNealy, 43, was taken into custody after police responded to a reported disturbance in the 100 block of South Idaho Street at 1:12 a.m., Detective Steve Rucker said in a probable-cause affidavit.

According to the affidavit, officers saw a female victim with a bloody nose and scratches on her neck and chest when they arrived.

Arkansas Crime Information Center records indicated that McNealy had a previous conviction for domestic battery in 2008.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $10,000 bond for McNealy and told him to come back to court July 11.

McNealy also was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim until the case is settled.
