Reward offered in Mallett homicide

Pine Bluff police have announced that a $1,000 reward is available for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person or persons responsible for the shooting death of a man in August.

Michael R. Mallett Jr., 31, was found shot to death inside a vehicle parked at a home in the 2600 block of Cockrill Street on Aug. 22 at 10:24 p.m.

Jefferson County Coroner Chad Kelley pronounced Mallett dead at the scene at 11:23 p.m. and listed the cause of death as multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.
