Reward offered for apprehension of threat suspect

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for any information leading to the arrest of Montrell Wine, 33, of Pine Bluff.

Wine is sought in connection with the alleged Oct. 20 posting of an update to his Facebook page threatening the life of Deputy Sheriff K-9 Handler Courtney Kelley.

JCSO Major and Public Information Officer Lafayette Woods Jr. said in a press release Wednesday that the sheriff’s office had requested that Jefferson County prosecutors file formal charges of 1st degree terroristic threatening against Wine.

The charge is a Class D felony and Wine could face up to six years in the Arkansas Department of Correction and a fine of no more than $10,000, according to Woods.
