Police are asking the public for help in identifying a suspect accused of robbing a convenience store in central Pine Bluff.
Police were called at 8:10 p.m. Aug. 17 to the Hazel Street Food Mart, 2201 W. 17th Ave., according to a press release from Pine Bluff Police Department spokesman Capt. Greg Shapiro.
The clerk said the suspect came into the store and stole a 30-pack of beer, Shapiro said. The clerk chased the suspect. The suspect pointed a firearm at the clerk, who then stopped chasing the suspect.
The suspect was described as a tall black male who was wearing a backwards baseball hat with an “A” on it, a large white T-shirt, dark shorts, white socks and white shoes.
The suspect is wanted for aggravated robbery and theft, Shapiro said. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Pine Bluff Police Detective Division at 730-2090. All calls will be kept confidential and a reward is available for information leading to the identification and arrest of the suspect(s).
