Police arrest second suspect in July burglary

A continuing investigation into an alleged burglary at a house on Port Road in July has resulted in the arrest of a second man who was allegedly involved.

Anthony Robinson, 34, was identified by several witnesses as the person who drove a car away from the house, then jumped out of the vehicle and ran, Deputy Prosecutor Rik Ramsey said during a court hearing Friday.

Detective Jerry Lambert said in a probable-cause affidavit that some of the property that was taken from the house was recovered from the vehicle.

A second suspect, Anthony Regan, was taken into custody after he was found hiding in the area.

Ramsey said Robinson is currently on probation and is in drug court.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $25,000 bond for Robinson after ruling that prosecutors had probable cause to charge him with residential burglary, theft of property and fleeing.

The Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent Robinson.
