PB man charged with aggravated robbery

A Pine Bluff man was arrested by Pine Bluff police officers Monday night after an alleged beating and robbery in a apartment parking lot.

Detective Jeremy Funderberg said in a probable cause affidavit that the victim identified Brandon White, 22, from a photo lineup as one of four people who allegedly attacked him in the parking lot in the 2900 block of South Fir Street. The victim said White accused him of trying to hit him with his vehicle.

Funderberg said that the victim got out of his vehicle to talk when White began to fight him. Funderberg said three unidentified males joined in the attack, which led to severe injuries requiring the victim be transported to Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $25,000 bond for White after ruling prosecutors had probable cause to charge him with aggravated robbery.

Bridgforth also ordered White to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled.

The Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent White and he was ordered to return to court Aug. 13.
