PB man arrested after domestic incident results in injuries to woman

A Pine Bluff man who allegedly knocked his girlfriend into a table during a physical altercation Sunday was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim following a court hearing Monday.

Curlee Rouse, 38, will have to post a $10,000 bond to be released from the county detention center after Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth ruled prosecutors had probable cause to charge him with second-degree domestic battery.

Detective Steve Rucker said in a probable cause affidavit that when the woman was knocked into the table, a glass fell off and broke and the woman landed on the broken glass, cutting her ear from top to bottom.

Rucker said in the affidavit that the woman was taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, then to a Little Rock hospital to have her ear sewn back on.
