A Pine Bluff man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly battering his girlfriend.
Pine Bluff Police Department Detective Marcia Oliver said in a probable-cause affidavit that Calvin McCray, 26, allegedly attacked his girlfriend at a residence in the 2100 block of Woodgate. The victim told responding officers that McCray pushed her down and began hitting her. McCray was arrested a short time later.
On Friday, Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $50,000 bond for McCray after ruling that prosecutors had probable cause to charge him with third degree domestic battery second offense.
McCray was ordered to have no contact with the victim until the case is settled and was told to report back to court Aug. 28.
The Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent McCray.
