A small amount of suspected methamphetamine and drug-related paraphernalia were seized Thursday and one man was arrested after police vice and narcotics officers served a search warrant at a house in the 4000 block of Palmer Road.
Mark Garner, 51, was inside the residence when investigators forced entry, Detective Richard McCorvy said in a probable cause affidavit presented in court Friday.
McCorvy said a bag containing suspected methamphetamine was found. Glass smoking pipes, aluminum foil, and other items commonly used to smoke methamphetamine also were found in the house, McCorvy said.
Deputy Prosecutor Maxie Kizer said Garner has an extensive criminal history dating back to 1979, and has felony charges of possession of methamphetamine pending.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $25,000 cash-only bond for Garner on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Kearney appointed the Public Defender’s Office to represent Garner, and told him to come back to court April 26.
