A Pine Bluff man who was arrested on DWI charges early Sunday morning had marijuana in his clothing, Tri-County Drug Task Force Investigator John Hughes said in a probable cause affidavit presented in court Monday.
Trooper Marshall Williams arrested Lemmie Lee Daniels, 19, for DWI and having no driver’s license, and when a jail deputy took Daniels to the shower and to dress him out in jail clothing, he noticed Daniels appeared to be trying to conceal something, Hughes said.
Hughes reported that when the jail deputy searched Daniels, he found the marijuana wrapped in a piece of paper in the chest pocket of the jail jumpsuit.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $5,000 bond for Daniels after ruling that prosecutors had probable cause to charge him with furnishing prohibited articles.
Kearney told Daniels to come back to court March 25.
