A 25-year-old Pine Bluff man was arrested Saturday after an investigation into an alleged sexual assault involving a minor.
Spencer Boothe was taken into custody after the alleged victim told officers that Boothe touched her improperly.
The eight-year-old victim was seen at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, according to a probable-cause affidavit from police Detective Jacqueline Stevenson.
Stevenson also said in the affidavit that when Boothe was questioned, he denied the accusation.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $100,000 bond for Boothe on the allegation, and ordered him to have no contact with the alleged victim until the case is settled.
Boothe said he would hire his own attorney.
