Investigation into burglary leads to arrest of neighbor

An investigation into a reported burglary at a house on the east side of Pine Bluff on Oct. 10 resulted in the arrest of a man who was a neighbor of the victim.

Antonio Lindsey, 30, allegedly took a 42-inch flat-screen television from the house after breaking a window, Detective Michael Roberts reported in a probable cause affidavit.

Deputy Prosecutor Maxie Kizer said the burglary was reported at 2 p.m. in the 500 block of East 27th Avenue, and two witnesses reported seeing a man put a large object into the trunk of a vehicle.

The witnesses gave police a street name for the man, and when Lindsey was being questioned, he reportedly told police the same name.

Roberts reported that Lindsey denied any involvement in the burglary.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $10,000 bond for Lindsey after ruling prosecutors had probable cause to charge him with residential burglary and theft of property.

Kearney told Lindsey to come back to court Dec. 7.
