Four Pine Bluff men were arrested Thursday after a reported burglary in the central part of the city.
Nicholas Grisby, 18, Doron Grisby, 23, Baruacus Brock, 20, and Darren Brock, 21, were taken into custody after an investigation into a burglary at an apartment in the 900 block of West 28th Avenue. The four are brothers, according to authorities.
Detective Michael Roberts reported that Sgt. Mike Jenkins was sent to the area of 15th Avenue and Poplar Street at 11:32 a.m., in response to the burglary call, and saw a black male wearing red behind a house. When Jenkins went to investigate, he found Darren Brock on the porch of a residence, and saw Nicholas Grisby coming around the house, according to Roberts.
After taking both into custody, Jenkins found a large flat-screen television and a Wii gaming system in a trash can, Roberts reported.
Roberts reported that officers made contact with residents at another house in the 900 block of West 15th Avenue and received information from the mother of both the Brocks and the Grisbys that her four sons had been in front of her house a short time earlier, and one of them was wearing red.
Doron Grisby and Baruacus Brock were located inside the residence and they were also taken into custody, Roberts reported.
The apartment that was broken into was next door to the residence where the mother and one of the sons lived, according to Roberts.
Records at the prosecutor’s office indicated that Nicholas Grisby, Doron Grisby and Baruacus Brock all had prior felony convictions and because of that, Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $25,000 cash-only bond after ruling prosecutors had probable cause to charge them with residential burglary and theft of property.
A $10,000 secured bond was set for Darren Brock on the same charges.
