Bond set in alleged residential burglary

A $25,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man who allegedly broke into a house Tuesday.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling that prosecutors had probable cause to charge Andre Biley with residential burglary and theft of property.

A probable cause affidavit from Detective Jeremy Oswalt said the burglary occurred at a house in the 1800 block of West 13th Avenue, and the homeowner reported that she found a window broken.

Deputy Prosecutor Maxie Kizer said a flat=screen television, video-game system and games were among the items missing.

Biley was identified as a suspect and when he was interviewed, he allegedly admitted breaking into the house but refused to tell police where the stolen items could be located.

Kizer said Biley had no prior convictions or pending charges.

Bridgforth told Biley to come back to court May 29.
