Alleged family dispute ends in arrest

A reported family disturbance Tuesday night at a house on the east side of Pine Bluff resulted in the arrest of a man who allegedly threatened members of his family.

Terrence Williams, 45, also allegedly threw a knife at his wife after a verbal altercation, Deputy Prosecutor Maxie Kizer said during a court hearing Wednesday.

Detective Jeremy Oswalt said in a probable cause affidavit that Williams allegedly threatened to kill his wife and her daughter and son from a previous relationship.

Kizer said Williams had gone when police arrived at 6:51 p.m., but he came back later and was arrested.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $25,000 bond for Williams after ruling prosecutors had probable cause to charge him with three counts of first-degree terroristic threatening and one count of aggravated assault.

Kearney also ordered Williams to have no contact with any of the alleged victims and told him to come back to court June 5.
