The Holy Day of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ will be celebrated Sunday by St. Peter’s, St. Raphael’s and St. Joseph’s Catholic churches, their pastors, Revs. Warren Harvey and Anil Thomas, and deacons.
The celebration, also known as the Feast of Corpus Christi, will begin with a procession Sunday at 2 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, where participants will walk to Main Street, follow Main north to the park on 10th Avenue where a small altar will be stationed and a scripture will be read.
Participants will move on to Eighth Avenue for another scripture reading, continue north on Walnut to St. Joseph’s church for the final reading and a blessing followed by refreshments in the gym at St. Joseph’s.
Everyone is welcomed. There will be a van for the elderly or those who do not wish to walk.
