All Nations Tabernacle of God, 1115 Redbud St., will hold its 24th pastoral anniversary celebration honoring the bishop and wife, Irven and Florida Cunning, a minister, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Thursday through Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Old Morning Star Baptist Church, 3116 Port Road, will hold its 115th church anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Solomon Hill Missionary Baptist, 8011 S. Olive St., will hold its fourth appreciation honoring its assistant pastor and wife, Rev. Sylvester and Sandra Dunbar at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Amelio Howard, pastor of Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church.

The Johnson Family Gospel Singers of Gould will celebrate their 31st anniversary at Travelers Rest Baptist Church at Gould. At 3 p.m. Sunday, the guest preacher will be the Rev. Archie Bealers of Syrene Baptist Church at Pickens. At 7 p.m. today, the celebration will be at the Dumas Singing Center at Dumas.

New Salem Missionary Baptist Church at Sherrill will celebrate its 34th pastoral anniversary honoring Rev. Clark E. Thomas and Hazel B. Thomas at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Stephen King of St. Paul Baptist Church.

Main Street Church of God in Christ, 2901 Main St., will hold its 34th annual homecoming at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Patrick Lockett, pastor of New Community Baptist Church.

Mount Bayou Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer will celebrate its 18th appreciation program honoring its pastor and wife, Rev. Lafayette Woods Sr. and Gwendolyn Woods, an evangelist, at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Larry Battles, pastor of Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church.

Smith Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 3006 Kentucky St., will celebrate its 23rd pastor’s appreciation honoring Rev. C.L. Williams and family at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. G. L. Ford, pastor of Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

The 17th pastor’s anniversary honoring Rev. William A. Neal Sr. will be celebrated at Bright Star Missionary Baptist Church, U.S. 425 S., at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. G. L. Toney, pastor of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church at Noble Lake and Sixteen Section Missionary Baptist Church at Monticello.

Concerts/Musicals

The Williamsons of Weleetka, Okla., will be featured in concert at Oak Park Free Will Baptist Church, 30th Avenue and Orange Street, at 10:45 a.m. June 10. Admission is free. For more information call 870-692-2534.

Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 2507 Hill St., will host its 33rd annual choir concert at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Revival

Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 900 Grant St., will hold its revival service Tuesday through Thursday at 7 p.m. The guest evangelist will be Rev. George Glass, pastor of New Morning Star Baptist Church at Bastrop, La.

Special Events

Rev. Joe H. Todd, pastor of Ephesians Missionary Baptist Church at Milwaukee, Wis., will be the guest evangelist at Mount Bayou Missionary Baptist Church at Altheimer during its summer revival Monday through Wednesday at 6:30 nightly.

Todd will be the guest preacher at True Vine “E” Missionary Baptist Church, 1001 W. Second Ave., at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Todd will also speak at 3 p.m. Sunday at Amos Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2401 Port Road, during its annual family and friends day.

Greater Deliverance Ministry Inc. will host the “Revelation Teaching” ministry of Errol James, a pastor from Claremont, Jamaica, at 7 p.m. Tuesday nights in June at the Jefferson Room of the Ramada Plaza, No. 2 Convention Center Drive, the temporary location of Greater Deliverance. James and his wife, Peggy, are founders of Faith Christian Fellowship King Center at St. Ann’s Bay.

The 81st annual mission program will be observed at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church at Ladd at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Wiley Shelton of Motley Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

New Community Baptist Church, 321 N. Birch St., will host the United Council of Independent Christian Churches Inc. State Conference today from 9 a.m. to noon.Classes entitled “Connected and Committed Church Members” will be conducted by Rev. Christopher Davis and “Proceeding through Pain” will be conducted by Steven Arnold, a bishop.

Memorial services in memory of two Westside Angels, Lorane Hunter and Margia Green, will be celebrated during worship service at 11 a.m. Sunday at Westside Church at Star City.

Wheeler Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 3519 Wheeler Chapel Road, will hold its summit workshop rehearsal Tuesday through Friday at 6:30 nightly. The Perfect Praise Summit Workshop will be at 7 p.m. June 9.

Living Word Baptist Church, 5617 Sulphur Spring Road, will host a benefit program for Mildred Wallace at 6 p.m. today. The guests will include the Spiritualettes, Gatewood Brothers, Webb Sisters, Barnes Singers, Williams Singers, Spiritual Hearts, and many more.

New Covenant Church Global, 1711 W. 13th Ave., will host its second annual women’s conference today. Union Hopewell/Bluff Spring Missionary Baptist Church, 1121 Persimmon St., will hold its friends and family day at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be Rev. Renice Davis, pastor of Bethany Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 909 S. Wisconsin St., will hold its annual family day at 11 a.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. George Waters, associate minister at Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Donald Warren will deliver his first sermon at New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1026 Missouri St., at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Bethel New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 2522 N. Pryce St., will hold its communion service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The sermon will be by the Rev. Michael Simmons.

Bethel New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 2522 N. Pryce St., will hold its Vacation Bible School Monday through Friday at 7 nightly.

Cherry Street A.M.E. Zion Church, Eighth Avenue and Cherry Street, will hold its Vacation Bible School Monday through Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be classes for youth and adults.

Women’s/Men’s Day

St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Highway 190 West on Princeton Pike, will hold its Women’s Day service at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Louise Tyler-Tisdale.

New St. Hurricane Baptist Church, 3319 Ohio St., will hold its Men’s Day services beginning at 9:30 a.m. The guest superintendent will be Milton Gardner of Damascus Baptist Church. At the 3 p.m. program, the guest preacher will be the Rev. Lloyd Holcomb, pastor of Barraque Street Baptist Church.

New Morning Star Baptist Church at Cornerstone will hold its annual Men’s Day service at 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Gabriel Jackson, pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church. Southeast Arkansas Male Chorus will sing.

Kingdom Builders Outreach Church of God in Christ, 3105 S. Apple St., will present its annual Men’s Day program at 3 p.m. Sunday. The guest preacher will be the Superintendent Leato Walker Jr. of New Mount Zion Church of God in Christ at Stuttgart. The musical guest will be The Shaw Boys.

Seven Star Missionary Baptist Church at Reed will observe its annual Women’s Day program at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be Diane Ridgell of Bold Pilgrim—Isaac Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at McGehee.

Youth

New Covenant Church Global, 1711 W. 13th Ave., will hold its first annual youth day at 5 p.m. Sunday. The guest speaker will be Joshua Pickett.

The youth committee at Timothy Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 1304 Apple St., will host a Modeling Show fundraiser at 5:30 p.m. today. Tickets are $3 in advance, $5 at the door, $1 for children 7 and older, and free for children 6 and under.
