The first anniversary of Gwen and NuVision will be celebrated at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Victory Faith Church of God in Christ, 1516 Poplar St.

The special guests will be the Mighty Imperials of Morgan City, Miss.

Concerts/Musicals

The Pine Bluff Women’s Community Choir’s “Songs of Praise 39 Concert” rehearsal will begin at 7 p.m. April 13 at Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 2121W. 26th Ave.

Other rehearsal dates are April 20 and April 27 at Pine Hill Baptist Church, 2101 Reeker St.

Revival

New Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1026 Missouri St., will hold its restoration revival Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m. nightly.

The guest preacher will be the Rev. Donald Johnson, pastor of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church at Memphis, Tenn.

The nightly lecturer will be the Rev. Glenn Barnes Sr., pastor of Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Mulberry Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 719 S. Ohio St., will hold its spring revival Wednesday through Friday at 7 p.m. nightly.

The guest preacher will be the Rev. Accie Reynolds, pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church at Ladd.

New Bethel No. 1 Outreach Ministry, 1320 N. Magnolia St., will hold its three-night crusade revival Wednesday through Friday at 7 p.m. nightly.

The guest preacher will be the Apostle Lecester Bell of Ebenezer Faith Christian Center at Dumas.

Special Events

New Salem Missionary Baptist Church at Sherrill will host an Easter egg hunt at 4 p.m. today. Easter Sunday service will begin at 8 a.m. Sunday.

Gospel Temple Baptist Church, Grace Temple Baptist Church and Smith Chapel Baptist will hold Easter Sunrise Fellowship service at 6 a.m. Sunday at Gospel Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 1100 Oakwood Road.

The guest preacher will be the Rev. James Murry.

New Jericho Missionary Baptist Church, 1600 Liddell St., will hold its Easter service at 11 a.m. Sunday.

There Is Hope Church of God in Christ, 1003 E. Second Ave., will hold its Easter celebration at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church and Amos Chapel Missionary Baptist Church will hold Easter Sunrise fellowship at 6 a.m. Sunday at Amos Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 2401 Port Road.

The speaker will be the Rev. G.L. Ford, pastor of Rose Hill.

At 6 a.m., the sermon will be by the Rev. Douglas Allen, youth minister at Motley Chapel.

At 10 a.m., the sermon will be by the Rev. J.Y. Williams, pastor of Soloman Hill.

Grace Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 909 S. Wisconsin St., will hold its annual Easter hunt at 11 a.m. today.

Rev. Thelmon Williams Sr., associate minister at New Morning Star Baptist Church at Cornerstone, will deliver the sermon at Easter sunrise services at 6 a.m. Sunday at Union Baptist Church at Altheimer.

Newbirth Baptist Church, 401 E. Fifth Ave., will hold its Easter service at 10 a.m. Sunday. The youth ministry will present its Easter program immediately following service.

Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church, 900 Grant St., will hold its sunrise Easter service at 6:30 a.m. Sunday.

At 11 a.m. the youth department will present their Easter program.

New St. Hurricane Missionary Baptist Church, 3319 Ohio St., will hold its Easter sunrise service at 6 a.m. Sunday.

The Rev. John Spicer, pastor of Mt. Moriah, will be the speaker.

Victory Faith Church of God in Christ, will hold its Easter services at 6 a.m. for sunrise service and 10:30 a.m. for victory day service.

Bishop Aundra Johnson, pastor of Faith in Action Ministries, will be the guest preacher for sunrise service.

At 10:30, Bishop K.D. Mixon will bring the message.

One Hundred Men Who Care Inc. will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1404 S. Georgia St.

Discussion will involve plans for student mentoring and annual fundraiser.

Women’s/Men’s Day

Corinth Missionary Baptist Church at Sherrill will hold its annual Men and Women’s Day program at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The guest preacher will be the Rev. Glenn Barnes, pastor of Pine Hill Baptist Church.
