Rotary speaker highlights Trinity Village

The Trinity Village Retirement Community is focused on providing its residents with everything they need to live out their later years in comfort, according to administrative assistant and social coordinator Nikki Ferrell.

Ferrell told members of the Pine Bluff Rotary Club on Tuesday that she and her colleagues encourage residents to maintain a healthy lifestyle and provide numerous activities to help them fulfill that aspiration.

“I want to use part of the Rotary Club four-way test to describe Trinity Village,” Ferrell said. “The first Rotary question asks is it true? Trinity Village is an aging group of folks. Our board of directors is looking for ways for Trinity to be more involved in the community. By this fall we hope to complete construction on our new 30-bed assisted living unit. It will have licensed practical nurses on duty around the clock. There will be a common area with a fireplace and the residents will be able to participate in all of the activities offered at The Lodge.”

Ferrell said that the second test — Is it fair to all concerned? — did not fit her talk so proceeded on to the third.

“Will it build good will and better friendships?” Ferrell recited the third test.

“Trinity Village is a very safe facility with round-the-clock security. This is a very spiritual bunch. We have Bible study as well as a Vespers service every week. We have a first-class fitness center which offers a number of classes for residents. We also offer good food at Trinity.”

Ferrell said Trinity Village offers transportation to doctor’s offices and offers the only infirmary in Arkansas located in a retirement community.

“Is it beneficial for all?” Ferrell recited the fourth test. “Our medical center was given a five-star rating by Nursing Home Compare. We have 70 people in the medical center and another 72 residents in the Lodge.”

Trinity Village is located at 6400 Trinity Drive off of Ridgway Road.
