Police were searching for a robbery suspect with the aid of search dogs Friday after an incident at the Dollar General Store on Dollarway Road.

Pine Bluff Police Department spokeswoman Lt. JoAnn Bates said that the store was robbed at about 8 p.m. A black male wearing a ski mask came in the store with a weapon. Someone called the police, and the suspect ran out of the business. No shots were fired and no one was injured in the incident.

A K-9 unit with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office was assisting in the search for the suspect, who was last reported near Dollarway High School.

At 11 p.m., Bates said the investigation was ongoing and the crime scene was still being processed.
