PB man hits $120,000 jackpot

LITTLE ROCK — Curtis Nelson of Pine Bluff on Tuesday walked into the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Claim Center in Little Rock with a $1 lottery ticket and walked out as a $120,000 Natural State Jackpot winner.

He bought his ticket at the Snack and Shop on U.S. 270 in White Hall.

Nelson said that so far, he only has plans to pay bills with the money. He said the first person he told about the winning ticket was his wife.

The Arkansas-only Natural State Jackpot’s $1 tickets went on sale on Aug. 27. The first jackpot win was on Sept. 13, with a $100,000 prize hit by a Mountain Home player who has not yet come forward to claim the prize.

The drawings are at 8 p.m. every night except Sunday.
