Patterson retires from Circuit Clerk’s Office

Jefferson County Circuit Clerk Lafayette Woods Sr. has announced the retirement of Deputy Clerk Laura Patterson.

Patterson, who began work in the office June 1, 1999, is officially retiring Friday.

Woods described Patterson as “a dedicated, devoted and appreciated employee” and said she worked in the Civil Division, “but could do other duties as well.”

Patterson said she plans to spend time with her family: son Banyon; daughter-in-law Dwana; two grandchildren, Kelsey and Kara; sister Gail; and brother-in-law Beau.

“We have enjoyed working with her,” Woods said. “She will be truly missed and we wish her well on her retirement.”
