Candles, flowers and mementos mark the site Thursday at West 31st Avenue and South Olive Street where two pedestrians were killed in a traffic accident early Christmas morning.

DeAundre Washington, 27, and Dontrick Williams, 32, both of Pine Bluff, were struck by a vehicle driven by Kendrick Collins, also of Pine Bluff. The accident was reported at 2:33 a.m.

A preliminary report indicated that Collins was driving a 2010 Dodge northbound on Olive Street when the pedestrians walked into his path.

Capt. Skip Elliott said Wednesday that the incident is under investigation and no citations have been issued and no arrests made as a result of the accident. Traffic Lt. Donna Fratesi is conducting the investigation.
