The Pine Bluff and Jefferson County Library System Board of Trustees will meet at 4:30 p.m. today at the facility.
A report will be presented by the library’s future ad hoc committee and architect Fred Reed will make his proposal. Reed and the committee have been considering remodeling the current main branch site in the Pine Bluff Civic Center, relocating to another existing site or constructing a new facility.
In a related matter, the board will consider moving $57,694 in non-operating millage funds from an operating account to capital improvement account, discussing the future of the county’s population base, considering a TLC contract on implementing a new operating system pending final approval by the board’s attorney, and increasing some fees. The proposed fee hikes are from 10 to 15 cents for printing paper from a library computer, from $1.50 to $3 on a patron’s interlibrary loan postage, and from $15 to $20 for meeting room rental deposit.
Trustees will be given an opportunity to ask questions and make comments during presentation of reports.
Ann Talbot is the board’s chairwoman.
