Jefferson County Road Department crews were busy last week with a variety of projects, according to the weekly report from County Judge Dutch King.
Activities for each day were as follows:
• Tuesday, Jan. 22
Graded: McEntire Road, Maynard Road, Princeton Pike and Huntley Trail.
Hauled Gravel To: Gilland Road and Maynard Road.
Ditched: Jefferson Lincoln County Line Road.
Potholes Repaired: Rob Roy Road.
Culverts Installed: Gilliand Road.
Mowed Ditches: McEntire Road and Wampler Spur.
Inspected Bridges: Jefferson County area.
Environmental Officer: Inspected areas in Pinebergen, Highway 270, Sulphur Springs and Highway 270 area.
• Wednesday, Jan. 23
Graded: Jefferson, Lincoln County Line Road, Levee at Reydell and Summers Road.
Gravel Hauled To: Knotts Island Road and Summers Road.
Ditched: Middle Warren Road and Jefferson, Lincoln County Line Road.
Pot Holes Filled: Reed Lake Road and Cornerstone Road.
Culverts Installed: Middle Warren Road and Whiteaker Road.
Mowed Ditches: McKinney Road, Old Star City Road and Wampler Spur Road.
Inspected Bridges: Jefferson County area.
Environmental Officer: Checked for illegal dumping in the Altheimer area and picked up road signs that had been torn down.
• Thursday, Jan. 24
Graded: McEntire Road, Princeton Pike.
Gravel Hauled: To Levee at Reydell and Lisa Road.
Ditched: None/equipment down.
Potholes Filled: On Reed Lake Road and the Reydell area.
Culverts Installed: Wampler Spur.
Mowed Ditches: McKinney Road, Old Star City Road, Wampler Spur Road.
Inspected Bridges: Jefferson County area.
Environmental Officer: Checked for illegal dumping on Bruce Trail.
• Friday, Jan. 25
Graded: G.L. Davis north and south, Highway 270 area, Wright area, Levee at Reydell, Highway 65 south area.
Gravel Hauled: Sullivan Road, Highway 65 south, and Levee to Reydell.
Ditched: Sullivan Road.
Potholes Filled: Spring Lake area.
Culverts Installed: Sherrill area.
Mowed Ditches: Sewer pond.
Environmental Officer: Checked for illegal dumping on South Evans Road.
