Jefferson County Road Department, Sanitation and Recycling Department report week of Feb. 15 to Feb. 21.

• Feb. 15

Bridge Crew: Cut trees and debris from around bridge on Joe T. Henslee Road.

Patching Crew: Patched potholes on Lowman, Trulock Bay Road, McKinney Road, Irene, Mallard, Hooker, River Road and Ray Dean Road. Culvert Crews and Heavy Equipment Operators: Installed a culvert on Camden Cut Off Road and Alford Road. Cleaned out culverts on Irene, Mallard, Hooker, River Road and Ray Dean Road. Also worked on the stock pile at the road department.

Truck Drivers: Hauled gravel from Little Rock.

Grader Operators: Graded Jericho Road, Lisa, Maline, Weekly and Tye Roads. Graded and spread gravel on Blackwell Road.

Ditching Crews: Ditched on Middle Warren Road and put concrete in washout.

Boom Mower Crew: Cut grass in ditches on Rob Roy Road.

Sign Shop: Stop signs were put up on Dyson Road, Nolino Drive and Teal Drive. Road signs were put up on Irene Drive, Ponderosa Road, Teal Drive, Nolino Drive and Osage Drive. Four no parking signs were donated to the Swan Lake Volunteer Fire Department.

Environmental Officer: Checked for illegal dumping in the Altheimer area on W. Hartley Road, Clint Henderson Road, Gillian Road, Brunett Road, Reed Lake Road, Wilson Road, Longbell Road and Altheimer East Road. Feb. 19

Part of the day was set aside for safety training for employees.

Other jobs completed were as follows:

Culvert Crew: Finished with the installation of the culvert on Alford Lane. Cleaned out culverts on Old Warren Road, Whiteville Road and Gaddy Koonce Road.

Grader Operators: Cleaned out pipe in Wabbaseka.

Boom Mower Crew: Worked in the Cherrywood area picking up limbs. Cleaned out pipe on Old Warren and Whiteaker Roads.

Sign Shop: Put new stop signs on Gaddy Koonce at Old Warren Road, Ryburn Road at Old Warren Road and Whiteville Road at Old Warren Road.

Environmental Officer: Checked for illegal dumping on Camden Cut Off, Pinebergen, Petty Road, Henderson Road, Beechnut Road, Margie Road and Donnie Road. These areas were cleaned up by the juvenile Clean Team.

Feb. 20

Bridge Crew: Inspected bridges on Cantrell Road and on Wrape Road bridge, cut trees and burned underbrush and debris at the bridge.

Patching Crew: Patched potholes on West Baldwin Road, Meadow Pond, Meadow Lark, Pinto, Palamino and Gravel Pit Road.

Culvert Crew: Cleaned out culverts on Old Warren Road and cleaned out the pipe on Wabbaseka Road.

Equipment Crew: Went to Altheimer area to clean out beaver dams and worked on the back lot/stock pile.

Truck Drivers: Hauled gravel from Little Rock to the Road Department and also to the crew doing work on Cantrell and Blackwell Roads.

Grader Operators: Graded and spread gravel on Peaceful Valley Road, Blackwell and Cantrell Roads, Willis Road, Whiteaker Road and Lambert. Also graded Milner, Shine Road, Pine Meadow Drive and Straugnh Road and graded in the Princeton Pike area.

Ditching Crew: Cleaned out the ditches on Harlan Road, Wabbaseka Road and Mabry Road.

Boom Mower Crew: Mowed ditches on Whiteville Road and Old Warren Road.

Sign Shop: Put road signs up on Hooker Road, S. Pointer Road, E. Pointer Road, Jefferson-Lincoln County Line Road, Mallard Drive, Wright Lane, Lyanna Drive, McEntire Road, McGaughy Road, Walton Road and Irene Road. Put stop signs up at Mallard Drive, E. Pointer Road, Wright Lane and Lyanna Drive.

Environmental Officer: Checked for illegal dumping on Irene Drive, Teal Road, Osage Drive and Nolino Road.

Feb. 21

Bridge Foreman: Inspected bridges on Gilliand Road and Wabbaseka Road and removed drift and debris from under the bridge.

Patching Crew: Filled potholes in the Sulphur Springs area and cleaned out culverts.

Culvert Crew and Heavy Equipment Operators: Cleaned out beaver dams on the Richmond Core Road.

Truck Drivers: Hauled gravel from Little Rock to the Road Department. Grader Operators: Cleaned out pipe in and around the Highway 425 area.

Ditching Crew: Cleaned out ditches on Mabry Road.

Boom Mower Crew: Cleaned out pipes in the Redfield area.

Sign Shop: Put up signs at Forrest Drive, North Evans Road, Hardin Road north and Hardin Reed Road. Also checked signs in the Hardin area and Altheimer area.

Environmental Officer: Checked for illegal dumping on Osborn Road, Blackwell Road, Ellison Road, Guenther Road, Harmony Church Road, McCosky Road, Weekley Road, Divoky Road, Melani Road, Lisa Lane, Peaceful Valley Road and Cottonwood Church Road.

Sanitation and Recycling Center

The county recycling center received 259.2 tons of passenger tires and 86.1 tons of truck tires during the month of January.

Last week the recycling center processed 55.09 tons of tires (110,180 lbs.), hauled in six tire boxes, five paper boxes, one trash trailer, and bailed 12,500 lbs. of cardboard (6,250 tons).
