Greenberg honored for distinguished career

Paul Greenberg, editorial page editor of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette who won a Pulitzer Prize for editorial writing for the Pine Bluff Commercial in 1969, was honored by the Arkansas Press Association on Saturday for his long career in journalism.

Greenberg received the Golden 50 Award at the APA’s annual convention in Eureka Springs.

Greenberg began his career in 1962 at The Commercial, and has been with the Democrat-Gazette since 1992. He also worked briefly for the Chicago Daily News.

In addition to his 1969 Pulitzer, Greenberg was also a finalist for the award in 1986.
