Former Pine Bluff man killed in California

A former Pine Bluff man was shot to death in California in December.

Roosevelt Abe Foster II, 26, was killed in Hayward, Calif., on Dec. 20 after he was found by police outside an apartment complex.

Foster was the son of Jack E. Foster Sr. and Johnnie May Pilcher Foster of Pine Bluff.

Jack Foster, a former Pine Bluff alderman, said his son lived elsewhere in California and was in Hayward to visit a brother, Jack Foster Jr., at the time of the shooting.

Police said Roosevelt Foster was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Jack Foster said he has had no communication with police in California since the death and was reserving comment about the incident until an arrest is made.

Funeral services for Roosevelt Foster will be at 11 a.m. today at Greater Fellowship Ministries Church with burial in Forrest Lawn Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home.
