The Pine Bluff City Council’s Administration Committee will discuss the hiring of Jeff Hubanks as the city’s interim police chief at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. The meeting was originally scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Friday.
The meeting will be held in or adjacent to the council chambers at city hall, according to Alderman George Stepps, the committee’s chairman.
Hubanks was appointed as acting chief after Mayor Debe Hollingsworth fired former Chief Brenda Davis-Jones on Jan. 1.
Discussions will include a review of two city ordinances outlining local residency requirements for city department heads. Hubanks, a retired PBPD lieutenant, resides outside Jefferson County.
The meeting is open to the public.
