A Pine Bluff man was arrested Saturday night after officers with the Pine Bluff Police Department responded to an armed disturbance call at a residence in the 1800 block of Beech Street.
Detective Jeremy Funderberg said in a probable-cause affidavit that the girlfriend of Percy Little, 54, told officers that Little became argumentative toward her and then grabbed a machete and told her to get out or he would kill her.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $25,000 bond for Little after ruling that prosecutors had probable cause to charge him with aggravated assault.
Kearney also ordered Little to have no contact with the alleged victim until the case is settled.
The Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent Little and he was told to return to court on Aug. 12.
